How would you define “being healthy”? Is it what you eat? Does it mean you work out all the time? Or does it just mean that you don’t need to go to the doctor very often? I asked some friends of mine what “being healthy” means to them. Here are some of the responses I got. What do you think?

  • “disease/problem free, high energy levels, toned muscles, 18%-28% body fat, good nutrition, moderate exercise, normal blood pressure”
  • “having a fit mind, spirit and soul…”
  • “eating healthy, (but you gotta treat yourself sometimes!) exercising in some form, combined with keeping your emotional and mental health balanced”
  • “having energy, feeling strong, and having a positive mental attitude!”
  • “I don’t know that I’ve ever been healthy! ;)
  • “having a healthy diet, exercising regularly, sleeping 7-8 hours a night, and doing things that make you happy!”
  • “staying in shape, eating healthy every day and living a stress free lifestyle”
  • “it’s a factor of mind and body”
  • “living right, eating right and enjoying life. If you can do the first two, the third one should come naturally”
